(Video) Expect to Hear the Voice of God by Priscilla Shirer.

I felt I needed to share this here.  I went looking for something to watch on YouTube and paused on this one for a little longer than usual – so thought I should watch it.  I won’t say to much about it other than –  it is a good word.

It is based around this verse of scripture: “My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me”… (John 10:27 NKJV)

Here is my heart, Lord.

Praise, Prayer and Worship.

Heavenly Father,

Thank you for this new day.  Thank you for the breath in my lungs.  Thank you for all that you have given me – thank you for meeting all our needs and so much more.  I am grateful to see a new day and experience whatever the day brings.  I thank you for your guiding hand – thank you for always being with me – thank you for walking through the day and night with me.  Thank you.

Thank you for your endless grace and mercy.

Thank you for your love – your boundless kind and generous love.  You are so, so good – everyday – in every hour and minute of every day.  Your love endures through the darkness – your love gives light in the darkness.

Here is my heart Lord.

Here is my heart Lord.

Here is my heart Lord.

I submit my heart to you, dear Lord.  Seek out my heart, oh Lord – turn any parts of stone into flesh.  Make my heart new again – renew my heart oh, Lord.  Heal the wounds that have turned to stone.  Heal the wounds that have turned to stone – bring your healing and your forgiveness into this space.  Wash out the dirt and grime and make these broken parts new again.  Make these broken parts new and whole again.  Bring the broken parts of me to the surface – the parts I can and cannot see – the broken parts I have forgotten but you know that need healing.  Stir them Lord, bring them to the surface – allow me to see all these broken parts in its anguished beauty.

Here is my heart Lord – here is my heart.

I submit all of it to you.

I submit all of it to you.

Heal all these broken parts, dear Lord and make them whole again – enable me to be the best version of myself – one who gives praise and glory back to you for the healing and blessings you bestow upon me.  May you continue to heal, bless and protect them – my brothers and sister in Christ – me – us – from the evil one – be our shield – one that protects and deflects flaming arrows from the enemy – so we may stand firm in the new creation of who we are in Christ – so we may stand firm in faith when the world shakes.  We will stand firm in your love.

When the world shakes, we will not be shaken.

When the world shakes, we will not be shaken.

We will not submit ourselves to fear.

We submit ourselves to you dear Lord, our light in the great darkness.

Here is my heart Lord.

Here is my heart Lord.  Speak what is true.

I have everything I need Lord.  I lack nothing. Yet I seek and crave your wisdom, your knowledge, grace and kindness.  I pray that you may drench my heart, soul and mind with your wisdom and grace.  And I pray this drenching is turned into action – may the transformation that happens internally come out in what I say and do.  May this be like the fruit of your spirit.

Here is my heart, Lord. Instil your wisdom in my heart, mind, and soul.

I know your wisdom does not look like the world’s wisdom – the world may not even agree with your wisdom – but those that know you, will know it is your wisdom that speaks through.

Speak what is true.  Speak to me.  Speak through me.

Speak to me, my dear Lord.  May my words not be my own – but yours – speak through me, my dear Lord.  Holy Spirit guide me and give me the words I need to speak – just as you already have.

Here is my heart Lord.

Speak what is true.

May these words reach those that need it.

Lord bless their hearts and their lives.

Make your presence known in their lives.

May their hearts swell with joy and bask in your love, grace and glory.  May they hunger for your wisdom and continue to seek you and praise you in every season; on every mountain top and in every valley.  And may they find you. May they find are you always with them and will always be there with open arms – welcoming them home – you warmly embrace your dearly beloved children.  May you wrap them in your love, your tender warmth and protection – wash away all worries of the world – for they are temporary.  Yet, your love endures.  Your love endures through all seasons and circumstances and nothing will separate us from you.

I thank you dear Lord – for all and everything.  (I don’t have enough words to express my gratitude, but I know you know my heart and authenticity.)  I thank you for all that I have – for all that is good – for all that comes from you.

You are glorious and I am so glad you chose me.  I am so glad you brought me out of the darkness and into your splendid light.

Here is my heart Lord – may your will be done in – with and through my heart.

I pray all of this, in your dear name Jesus, amen.

Amen.

All praise to God, the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ.  God is our merciful Father and the source of all comfort.  He comforts us in all our troubles so that we can comfort others.  When they are troubled, we will be able to give them the same comfort God has given us.  For the more we suffer for Christ, the more God will shower us with his comfort through Christ.  Even when we are weighed down with troubles, it is for your comfort and salvation!  For when we ourselves are comforted, we will certainly comfort you.  Then you can patiently endure the same things we suffer.  We are confident that as you share in our sufferings, you will also share in the comfort God gives us.

We think you ought to know, dear brothers and sisters, about the trouble we went through in Asia.  We were crushed and overwhelmed beyond our ability to endure, and we thought we would never live through it.  In fact, we expected to die.  But as a result, we stopped relying on ourselves and learned to rely on God, who raises the dead.  And he did rescue us from mortal danger, and he will rescue us again.  We have placed our confidence in him, and he will continue to rescue us.  And you are helping us by praying for us. Then many people will give thanks because God has graciously answered so many prayers for our safety (2 Corinthians 1:3-11 NLT).

My dear reader, at this time, the world is far from peaceful.  I do not know the context of your life, and whether or not you are feeling the effects of a shaken and stirred world but I know the world as a whole is aching, and this ache is affecting many lives.  I was led to the above verse of scripture as I went in search of “something else” but I believe it is exactly what I was meant to find.  It speaks into the context of an aching world now – it speaks into the context of our lives – in all our varied troubles.  God, He is always the source of our comfort.  This comfort, is then paid forward as we’re able to offer comfort to others just as we were comforted in our troubles.  It is another greatest expression of love – it builds our faith and encourages us to keep persevering – for we have and know the truth.  There will be times in life where we will feel overwhelmed and crushed – we will try to rely on our own strength and abilities to get through our troubles – but when we get tired of fighting and feel the effects of exhaustion – we may think we will never get through this struggle.  But, it changes when we stop relying on ourselves and learn to rely on God again – on the God who raises the dead – on the God who makes the impossible possible.  The God who rescued others from mortal danger and who will also rescue us.  We can place our confidence in him and know that He will rescue us again.  He will.  This is a declaration – and there is certainty in His word – His word never changes – His promises are never broken – His word has stood the test of time and will continue to stand once we pass from this world.  Stand firm in the certainty of the character of your heavenly Father, give Him your heart, rest and rely on Him and know whatever you are going through – you will be rescued and will continue to be rescued from the troubles of the world.  I will continue to pray for your safety, and I ask, may you continue to pray for all our safety… Then in time, many people will give thanks to God who has graciously answered many prayers by bringing us into safety… To be honest, I cannot wait to see how God brings us through this troubled season.  If you’re feeling overwhelmed and exhausted by your troubles, you don’t have to do it alone – reach out to others – and rest and rely on God and be reminded that you will be rescued and brought through this.

My dear reader, thank you again for taking the time to read these many words.  I wanted to write something, but I didn’t know what I wanted to say – but it’s never about what I want to say – it’s always about what the Holy Spirit wants to say in this space and being open and receptive to those words.  Throughout this writing session, I thought it would be about something else – but it went somewhere else again.  (I hope that makes sense?)

As I sat down to write; to pray. I was listening to Spotify through my phone.  This song came on, Here is my Heart by I am They… A few of the lyrics went like this – Here is my heart Lord… Speak what is true…  I then found it on YouTube and as I was writing, I listened to it on repeat.  It’s truly beautiful and touched my spirit. I have attached a link.  I hope it blesses you and ministers to you as it did to me.

Until next time my dear reader, God willing, W.A.R on with praise and prayer. Xx.

A time for new growth – in this season you will thrive.

I wanted to share this prayer I wrote on the 1st of September 2020 as we entered spring in the Southern Hemisphere.  It holds so much goodness in it – I was caught in the flow of prayer and praise.  Mostly praise.

Heavenly Father,

Thank you for today.  Thank you for the start of spring – thank you for the start of a new season.  Thank you for the promise of new growth – thank you so much for the delicate blooming flowers – thank you for their burst of colour that breaks through the stark winter – growth happens from the inside out.

Growth comes from the inside – out.  What comes out is the result if inward growth.  In the season of winter, growth can look dormant – or dead on the outside.  But what cannot be seen – is what is happening on the inside.  Buds are forming – clumping, moulding together – growing bigger.  Once the warmth of the sun hits these buds – it encourages them to open, blossom and bloom to the sun.  in this moment, they shine and sparkle in their gentle beauty and burst of colours.  This season is beautiful – but don’t forget the season you left – winter was just as beautiful – for quiet growth was happening inwardly – preparing you to shine your splendid colours and delicate beauty in the spring.  This new season is for you – this new season will be great – there will be fresh spring rain and delicious warm sun – under these conditions there will be accelerated growth and you, my dear will thrive!  You will thrive and that is a promise.  You will thrive – that is a promise – you will experience accelerated growth in this season.  I’ll say that again, you will experience accelerated growth in this season.

How great this is!  How great this is!

Thank you for this promise.  Thank you, Jesus, – for this promise of growth – thank you. Heavenly Father, thank you for growing me in this season – for you are the one and only who enables us to grow – you cut us back and make us grow up.  You grow us up in this season.  Thank you, Father, this fills my heart and spirit with joy – peace and love – all of your love.  Your hand is always at work – making us beautiful – making us bloom and grow in the season we are in.  One season always leads into another and needs to happen in each of these phases.  You are the most glorious artist and creator – thank you for moulding and forming us in your image and making us in the likeness of Jesus.  We thank you and love you forever more – my words and praise can’t even cover how grateful I am, nor can I come close to describing how I am actually feeling right now.

Thank you – my heart is yours.  My life is yours.  Grow me, oh lord, into the person you want me to be.  Grow me into the person you want me to be.  Grow me and enable me to be someone who gives you honour, glory and praise.

While there is breath in my lungs – I will praise you, oh lord.  I will praise you while there is breath in my lungs – and in every season – even in the depths of winter when new growth looks hopeless from the outside – but I will remember that growth comes from the inside – from the depths of my heart.  Lord, you make the soil of my heart right.  God you make the planted seeds grow in the right seasons and under the right conditions.  I thank you for every season and value each season for I know you are in it.  You will never go out of fashion and will continue to sustain me.  Thank you – you are my bread and living water – you sustain, nourish and fulfil me – you satisfy my hunger and thirst for things of the world.  Yet I hunger and crave more of you.  I hunger to know you – to experience your grace, your love, your magnificence – your power and authority.

Lord, I am more than grateful that I can be in your presence – that I can be with you.  I never want to leave you – my heart breaks at the thought of not having you in my life.  I can’t get enough of you – yet I am satisfied with only you.  I am satisfied with only you.  You are the light of my life.  You are the light of my heart.  You, oh my dear Lord are the light of my heart.

You are the light of my heart.

You are the light of my heart.

You are the light of my heart.

You were with me right from the start – you brought me out of the dark and into your wonderful and glorious light.  You were right there – from the very start – my dear Lord.  You were there – right by my side – right from the very start.  I am so glad my eyes were opened to you – for you are the great and first love of my life.  Thank you for your kindness and patience – thank you for persevering in pursuing me and bringing me into your light.

I never want to leave you and I know nothing can separate me from your love.  Nothing can separate us from your great love – nothing at all.

Your beauty and grace astound me and I look up to you in awe and reverence.  I look up to you in awe and reverence – daily.  Your love is great and constant and holy.  Thank you for all you do and for all of who you are.  You are so much greater than I will ever be – but I know, in your time you will build me up.  You will build and grow me – this I know – and I know I cannot do life without you.  You give me strength when I am weak.  You make me brave when I am filled with fear.  You build me up – you grow me out of nothing and into something else.  Thank you – I thank you for all that I have.  Thank you, my dear Lord.  I thank you with all my heart.  My heart and my life are yours and I hope I can give you the honour and glory you deserve and are worthy of.  I love you dear Lord with all my heart – all my heart – every inch of it is yours.

Seek my heart Lord and make it pure – make it pure – so that all that is good in your eyes may blossom and bloom all for you – all for you.  I love you with all my heart, mind and soul.  I love you with all my heart, mind, body and soul – all of me belongs to you.

I love you and thank you – in your mighty name, Jesus I pray, amen.

Amen.

Before I go, I’ll leave you with these verses that stood out to me:

“…Wisdom from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, open to reason, full of mercy and good fruits, impartial and sincere (James 3:17 ESV)… You will recognise them by their fruits.  Are grapes gathered from thorn bushes or figs from thistles? So, every healthy tree bears good fruit, but the diseased trees bears bad fruit.  A healthy tree cannot bear good fruit.  Every tree that does not bear good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fine.  Thus you will recognise them by their fruits (Matthew 7:16 – 20)… Above all else guard your heart, for everything you do flows from it (Proverbs 4:23)…A good man brings good things out of the good stored up in his heart, and an evil man brings evil things out of the evil stored up in his heart.  For the mouth speaks what the heart is full of (Luke 6:45)… whatever is true, whatever is honourable, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is commendable, if there is anything worthy of praise, think about these things (Philippians 4:8)… And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding will guard your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7)… I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit in you; I will remove your heart of stone and give you a heart of flesh (Ezekiel 36:26)

…Rejoice in the Lord always; again, I say rejoice! (Phillipians 4:4).

… I have been crucified with Christ.  It is no longer I who lives, but Christ lives in me.  And the life I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me… Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation.  The old has passed away; behold the new has come (2 Corinthians 5:17 ESV)… Or do you not know your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit within you, whom you have from GodYou are not your own, for you were bought with a price.  So, glorify God in your body (1 Corinthians 6:19-20 ESV) … For all who are led by the spirit of God are sons of God (Romans 8:14 ESV) … the fruit of the spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control; against such things there is no law.  And those who belong to Christ Jesus have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires.  If we live by the spirit, let us walk by the spirit (Galatians 5:22-25 ESV)…

…  the seed that fell among the thorns stand for those who hear, but as they go on their way they are choked by life’s worries, riches and pleasures and they do not mature.  But the seed on good soil stands for those with a noble and good heart, who hear the word, retain it, and by persevering produce a crop (Luke 8:14-15) … For this reason, since the day we heard about you we have not stopped praying for you.  We continually ask God to fill you with knowledge of his will through all the wisdom and understanding that the spirit gives.  So that you may live a life worthy of the Lord and please him in every way; bearing fruit in every good work, growing in the knowledge of God (Colossians 1:9-10)… The righteous will flourish like a palm tree, they will grow like a Cedar of Lebanon; planted in the house of the Lord, they will flourish in the courts of God.  They will still bear fruit in old age; they will stay fresh and green (Psalm 92:12-14) … I planted the seed, Apollos watered it, but God has been making it grow.  So, neither the one who plants nor the one who waters is anything, but only God, who makes things grow (1 Corinthians 3:6-7 ESV).

(May you)… grow in grace and knowledge of our Lord and saviour Jesus Christ.  To him be glory both now and forever! Amen (2 Peter 3:18)…

Until next time, God willing, take care.  Keep on keeping on and W.A.R on with praise and prayer. Xx.
